Program Highlights

Fort Hayes was recently awarded an all expense paid trip to Okinawa through the Kakehashi project to promote deeper mutual understanding among the people of Japan and the United States, enable future leaders of Japan-US exchanges to form networks, and help young people develop wider perspectives to encourage active roles at the global level in the future.

Fort Hayes is a citywide magnet alternative school with two unique educational programs – an arts and academic, college-preparatory high school and a career center program.
Fort Hayes focuses on a rigorous college preparatory program and a rich immersion in the arts of music, dance, theatre, architecture, and the visual arts.  The curriculum is delivered through a yearlong block schedule with students taking courses on alternate days and one day with all classes each week.
